We found out yesterday some news about the status of Clearwater Beach but now that news has changed.
Spring Break is cancelled in the Tampa Bay area. People are most likely going to be on their way home after this announcement.
County leaders announced their decision that ALL beaches in Pinellas County, as well as the public parking spaces, will be closed from Friday, March 20 at 11:59 p.m. to April 6. This includes Clearwater Beach which must follow the new order implemented by Pinellas County commissioners. This will not effect private beaches, they just have to follow the CDC guidelines, breaking up groups of 10 or more and at least six feet apart.
Manatee County beaches will close tomorrow, Friday, March 20th, at 6 a.m. and barricades will be set up in the parking lots and additional lots will be shut down for beaches in Manatee County.
In Sarasota County, their beaches will close at 6 a.m. on Saturday morning.
