One of Brazil’s top culture officials is waging war on rock’n’roll, claiming rock bands are causing abortions and Satan worship.

Dante Montovani, who heads Brazil’s National Arts Foundation, recently made a YouTube video claiming “Rock music leads to drugs, which leads to sex, which leads to abortions”.

Mantovani then took it one step further, claiming that “the abortion industry feeds into something much more serious, which is Satanism”.

Even stranger, while Mantovani called out rock legends like John Lennon and Elvis Presley, he says Metallica is okay to listen to “when you’re driving in traffic”.
