Specifically, the Tampa Bay Times reports they’re looking out for pork products because African swine fever is spreading. It doesn’t have any effect on us but it’s deadly for pigs when they’re infected. That’s a huge threat to the pork industry. If you try to bring pork into the country, you can be find up to $500. Cooked pigeons, blood sausage and other things that can bring unwanted pests into the US are among things that they’ve found at Tampa International Airport customs inspections.
