Weeknights 7pm - Midnight

I still remember very clearly when Nikki Sixx said all four members of Motley Crue would have to decide to get back together for the band to ever tour again. He also said he personally had no intention of doing so. Considering he’s always been the heart of the band, it seemed pretty damned permanent. Well, it turns out, permanent ain’t what it used to be.

After four brief years of ‘retirement’, the boys are back and preparing for a stadium tour with Poison and Def Leppard.

What were Nikki, Vince, Tommy and Mick up to during their brief respite from the road? Here’s a quick rundown of their accomplishments…and scandals.

According to UltimateClassicRock.com, Nikki Sixx was easily the busiest of of the Crue members. His band, Sixx A.M., released two albums, he continued his radio show until 2017 and released the 10 year anniversary edition of his book, The Heroin Diaries. He also debuted Conversations With Angels, his first photo exhibition, to great reviews. Somehow, in the midst of it all, he also underwent and recovered from shoulder surgery.

Tommy Lee: Tommy made music with Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins and later with Post Malone. He publicly feuded with his son. In September, he announced that he will soon release his first solo album since 2005. He also married Brittany Furlan, a social media celebrity, last Valentine’s Day.

Mick Mars: Mick seemed to be on his way to a collaborative album with former Crue singer, John Corabi, but that project faded away. The failure was attributed to busy schedules. He recently played on a cut with Ivan Moody of FFDP and Travis Tritt of country music fame. mars says he’s also working on a solo album, which will be ‘harder than Crue’ in his words. He is still searching for the perfect vocalist.

Vince Neil: While Tommy has said he’s working on a solo album, he’s not produced anything since 2010. He’s continued to tour, singing Motley Crue tunes almost exclusively. Vince has also been extremely involved in charity work. One of the more public stories about Vince was his 2016 scuffle with Nicolas Cage. He also appeared on Celebrity apprentice with Boy George, with whom he famously exchanged barbs throughout the show.

The band members have stayed busy. But now, it’s time to get back on the stage and rock. I can’t wait to see and hear the boys again. The last time I saw them was in 1990!

Sean Roberts was conceived in the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky by two passionate, panel aligning, third shifters who had grown bored with the same ole same ole. Upon birth, he was placed in the trunk of a new Stingray and sent off to find his destiny. That destiny included several stints on radio stations across the United States. Some played punk country gospel, while others focused on Croatian death metal played backwards. After many years and many adventures, Sean wound up on The Shark, where he does shots of tequila while playing the most badass tunes ever created by humankind. He remains humble, however, never forgetting about the lean years...the street corners and dark alleys where he played songs on his car stereo for food and sex. He's on top and he's never gonna stop LIVING THE DREAM!
