It’s an all too familiar story in Tampa Bay. Early this morning, somehow a 39 year old woman got on 275 going the wrong way and collided head on with a driver near the I-75 merge. Channel 10 reports she was driving south in the northbound lane. That’s where she hit a 30 year old Brandon woman. The Brandon woman is currently in serious condition at St. Joseph’s Hospital. The driver was killed. They say they don’t know yet where she got on 275 heading in the wrong direction.
This all happened this morning (October 12) at about 4:44AM according to IONTB. The vehicle being driven in the wrong direction was a 2019 Mazda CX5. They are trying to find out if alcohol was a factor in the head on crash. Both were said to be wearing seat belts.
