A Sarasota, Florida oyster bar is donating $14,000 to Hurricane Dorian relief – money they literally pulled off the walls.

For 16 years, customers at Siesta Key Oyster Bar have been stapling dollar bills decorated with personal messages to the walls and ceilings.

Last month, the restaurant staff began pulling down the bills in order to donate the money to Dorian victims.  Their efforts inspired customers to staple even more bills – often fives, tens, and twenties.  In all, just under $14 grand was raised.
