The Wesley Chapel movie theater shooting happened over 5 years ago and until the trial, retired Tampa police captain Curtis Reeves is making three requests, according to Channel 8.
Reeves is not behind bars. He’s on house arrest. He has been since 2014. He wants the GPS monitor taken off him because it’s cost him $15,000. He wants to be able to go out and about around Hillsborough, Pasco and Hernando Counties. Reeves also doesn’t want to pay to have his guns stored. That was a condition of his bond. He wants his son to have them.
Reeves is now 76. The trial is delayed because the Florida Supreme Court needs to rule on whether or not the changes to the Stand Your Ground law apply.
