Florida Inmates Spent Fourth Of July In The Dog House
Florida inmates didn’t get to watch fireworks this Independence Day but got to do something better.
In Brevard County there is a program to comfort the dogs as well as “help add purpose to the lives of inmates incarcerated at the Brevard County Jail.” Dogs in the shelter are alone and afraid especially when fireworks cover the sky.
The crew got to read to, play with and give treats to dogs at the Animal Care Center when the fireworks were just beginning, Sheriff Wayne Ivey said in a statement on Facebook.
