Looks like WWE has some competition in the pro wrestling world.  Brand-new upstart All Elite Wrestling, or AEW, has announced it will air a weekly show on TNT beginning this fall.

The announcement came at Wednesday’s Turner upfronts.  The network didn’t give any more details on the time slot, but AEW has trademarked the name “Tuesday Night Dynamite”, which might offer a clue.

AEW is the brainchild of former WWE wrestler Cody Rhodes and Tony Khan, son of Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan.  Ex-WWE star Chris Jericho is also part of the roster.

It will mark the first time pro wrestling has aired on TNT since ‘WCW Monday Nitro’ went off the air in 2001.
