A Florida man is at risk of losing his home, and all because he wouldn't cut the grass.
Last year, 69-year-old Jim Ficken racked up more than $30,000 in fines after the city of Dunedin, Florida, fined him $500 a day for having grass higher than 10 inches. Now, the city has moved to foreclose on his home to pay the debt.
Ficken is counter suing, claiming he arranged for a friend to mow his grass while he was away, but they died unexpectedly before he returned. He also says city officials never once called him about the fines.
